A
small little happy moment can make all the difference on an otherwise
crappy day. This goes for anyone. I suppose I could walk away and leave
and ignore someone to be miserable on their bad day, but there are
times when just the simple act of kindness from a stranger could make
all the difference in the world for someone. Helping someone pick up their groceries after the bag rips open, helping some up when they've fallen down and asking them if they're okay, buying coffee for the Salvation Army bell ringers at Christmas time, buying some kid an ice cream at the ice cream truck because he didn't have enough money, or throwing change into an expired meter for the person who's parked there.... Whatever. It's that simple. What did it take away from you? A couple of minutes of your time maybe? There's an added benefit too. You may just end up feeling a little happy thinking you may have just made someone's day. A random act of kindness for a perfect stranger. I try to do at least one a day. Just saying...
