After the kids get into to trouble for fighting, they usually resort to ignoring the crap out of each other, even though they crave the others' attention. It never really lasts too long simply because they want to play with each other and go back to what they were doing. I've been trying to leave them to their own devices lately so that they can learn to work things out for themselves a little more and most of the times it works. Sure there are times when I have to step in and referee them, but it doesn't take too much direction from me for them to bring it back together, which is pretty cool to see. A few minutes later, they're back to playing again and they learn to compromise a little here and there. They work scary well as a team when they are all spot on and are functioning as a unit and it is quite the sight to see.
I get a little bit of "instant gratification" here for once and it feels pretty good. My kids rock!
